Civilization VI – PS4 Review, is currently out on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, We bought it over the holidays via the PSN and below is our review of the game.
Civilization VI: About the Game
Originally created by legendary game designer Sid Meier, Civilization is a turn-based strategy game where you attempt to build an empire to stand the test of time. The latest entry in the franchise, Civilization VI, offers new ways to engage with your world: cities now physically expand across the map; your actions help boost technology and civics research; and competing leaders pursue their own agendas based on their historical traits as you race to achieve victory.
That’s not all: the Expansion Bundle that includes both Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm adds a host of additional civilizations and leaders, new gameplay systems and depth, and unique challenges to the Civilization VI experience.
Civilization VI – PS4 Review
Well, Sid Meier’s landed on the PS4 and here’s what we think of it.
After a few dozen hours with the game, a failure or two and a epic success with ghandi, we can safely say this is a well achieved port.
It does have it’s downfalls, as some of the options are hidden behind convoluted menus, and nothing is quite as simple as the m+kb point and click freedom in this type of games.
But if you can get past some of the annoyances that presents, this title is a solid strategy release for the PS4, one of the few worth getting.
If time allows it, we will delve deeper into Civilization 6’s systems and civilizations, but for now, we can recommend this game to any gamer trying to scratch that strategy itch on the PS4, if he keeps in mind that this is a game originally designed for pc and it will have a few shortcomings.
