Cyberpower Gaming PC Review. I recently came to the point that it will hit us all eventually, time for a new gaming PC. I came across Cyberpower after looking around doing a lot of research on the subject.

Old PC Spec

My old PC for gaming was 6 years old and consisted of

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-3570
  • MEMORY: 8gb Ram DDR3 2500mhz
  • VIDEO: Nvidia GTX970 4gb
  • HDD: 1TB HDD

This has been a steady workhorse for years and only just started to show its age. So time to upgrade, however, the choice was either upgrade components or a new machine, I opted for a new machine.

New Cyberpower Spec

  • CAS: Corsair 220T Mid-Tower Gaming Case w/ Tempered Glass Side Panels (OEM – No Fans) (Black Colour )
  • CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-9700F – 8-Core 3.00GHz, 4.70GHz Turbo – 12MB Cache (No Onboard Graphics)
  • CS_FAN: 4x 120mm Cyberpower Addressable Dual Light Loop RGB 1350RPM Fans with Remote Control
  • FAN: INTEL Standard CPU Cooler
  • HDD: 2TB Seagate BarraCuda SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 7200RPM Hard Drive (1 Drive)
  • M2SSD: 512GB (1x512GB) Intel 660p M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD – 1500MB/s Read & 1000MB/s Write (Single Drive)
  • MEMORY: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4/3000mhz Dual Channel Memory (Corsair Vengeance LPX w/Heat Spreader)
  • MOTHERBOARD: Cyberpower B360M Xtreme AC: M-ATX w/ 4 RAM Slots, AC Wi-Fi, USB 3.1, SATA3, 2x M.2
  • OS: Windows 10 Home (64-bit Edition) Perfect for most people with all the core features of Windows 10 including automatic updates, Cortana and DirectX 12 graphics support (No Recovery Media)
  • POWER SUPPLY: Corsair Vengeance Series 650M 650W 80+ Silver Gaming Power Supply
  • SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD AUDIO
  • USB1: Built-in USB Ports [+0]
  • VIDEO: MSI GeForce® RTX 2060 Super 8GB – Ray Tracing Technology, DX12®, VR Ready, HDMI, DP – 4 Monitor Support (Single Card)

This is a big difference compared to the older machine, however, you would be surprised at the cost of this machine, For a gaming PC, this one inc VAT came in at just over the £1200 mark and considering if you look at most machines of this spec you can expect to pay over £1700 this is a bloody good deal.

Performance

I have run some benchmark tests at https://www.userbenchmark.com/ and the results are below for the people interested, but for the simple gamer lets just go down the route of the performance of the PC is simply amazing, Sea of thieves, for example, runs smooth as silk of mythical settings. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is just beautiful is ultra.

UserBenchmarks: Game 97%, Desk 101%, Work 89%
CPU: Intel Core i7-9700F – 92.9%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060S (Super) – 98.5%
SSD: Intel 660p NVMe PCIe M.2 512GB – 167.4%
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB (2018) – 117%
RAM: Corsair CM4X8GD3000C16K4D 2x8GB – 79.1%
MBD: Cyberpowerpc C SERIES

I could talk about FPS and stuff like that but at the end of the day it’s about how good the game plays and Cyberpower have it the nail on the head, this machine just wants to give more and more on the game front. you can’t go wrong.

The Looks

Ok so looks are not always everything, so they say but in a world where Instagram exists and that it’s all about style, this machine is photogenic, it has RGB lighting everywhere all changeable based on the mood you want.

Interior wise is clean, neat and tidy. cables are positioned and secured well, the hard drives are hidden under a panel but accessible easily. and build quality is what you would expect from a professional gaming PC business.

Overall

Ok so let’s get to the crunch of the matter, whether you are looking for a starting machine, nagging your parents for a new machine or looking to upgrade. chances are you have been searching online looking at the likes of Razer, Republic of Gamers, etc. well stop cause you are going to be paying over the odds for a machine with a name but nothing overly special other than that, it’s about spec and cost and these guys at Cyberpower can give you both.

I spoke via email with the sales manager before purchase as I had a couple of questions and let me say the Customer Service was spot on in this instance, I got responses in less than 5 mins, though I have not needed the aftercare so I cannot comment but I expect it would be just the same as in this game its all about reputation.

The PC came well packed and clear instruction and step by step set up which took less than 5 minutes.

Overall, probably one of the best experiences and machines i have had the pleasure of using.
