Gameplay

The gameplay in this iteration of Minecraft harks back to the days of the button-mashing hack and slash, however, don’t be mistaken in thinking that this game is going to be a walk in the park. the game can at times be challenging even for the experienced play and can and will punish you for trying to take on to many mobs at once.

It’s a fun game, however, it has a few issues with elements of the game that got frustrating. First being that sometimes as a group we experienced issues of fulling through the map when crossing a bridge or even in a boss fight. The vendors that sell you weapons for crystals very rarely give you tools that are the rank you are and it’s more a case of finding them yourself throughout the maps.

That said this is a fun game for all ages and myself really enjoyed it even with the issues above.

This one is all about teamwork and not the lone wolf when playing, so grab some friends and hit the mobs hard.

Graphics

For a block-based game the graphics in this adventure are better than I expected, probably as I have played the original Minecraft for years, this version is smooth clean and plenty of detail that the enthusiast will love. The backgrounds add a dramatic feel to the game.

Longevity

This is where the game has another issue, the game is simply to short and about 4 hours long at release, this is, however, going to be expanded later on with already a note in the game that more adventures are coming soon at a cost.. but at £16.99 for the base version should I be complaining considering the level of joy this game brought me, probably not.
